Dried leaves & flowers, Encaustic on Wood Panel
12” x 12”
About the art: Encaustic is beeswax and resin melted in an electric pan. Four or five coats of this is painted with a brush, one coat at a time. Each layer of the wax must be heated with a heat gun. Then the fun begins, both pieces have flowers pressed into a warm waxed panel followed by many more layers of encaustic. I kept the art work simple so the flowers & leaves were prominent.
